What to do now

  1. Don't travel around the country. Checkpoints are where most overstayers are caught.

  2. Book a flight out, and go to the airport early to pay the fine at immigration.

  3. If your overstay is long, talk to a lawyer first about surrendering at an immigration office.

You can't extend or convert a visa while overstaying. The only safe step is to regularise by leaving or surrendering.
